Privacy Policy

Stocka is built so that your portfolio is yours alone. There is no Stocka account, and we run no server that stores your trades, positions or personal details. This policy explains what data the Stocka app for iPhone, Apple Watch and widgets handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.

The short version

• We do not collect your name, email address or any account details — there is nothing to sign up for.
• Your trades, holdings, watchlist and alert rules are stored on your device, and in your own iCloud Drive if you use sync or backups.
• To fetch prices and news, the app sends ticker symbols to market-data providers. It never sends your quantities, costs or trades.
• Stocka contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Data stored on your device

Your trade journal, holdings, cash balance, watchlist, alert rules, settings and a cache of recent market data are saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone. Widgets and the Apple Watch app receive a copy of what they display from your iPhone, on your devices only.

iCloud sync and backups

If you are signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive turned on, Stocka keeps a sync file and any backups you make in a Stocka folder in your own iCloud Drive. Apple stores these files under your Apple Account; we cannot see or access them. You can delete them at any time from the Files app or from iCloud settings.

Market data providers

To show quotes, charts, dividends, earnings dates and news, your device requests data directly from these providers:

• Yahoo Finance — quotes, charts, calendar events, dividends, news and symbol search. The app sends the ticker symbols you follow and the text you type into symbol search.
• Stooq — end-of-day prices, requested by ticker symbol.
• Nasdaq and Stock Analysis — dividend payment dates, requested by ticker symbol.
• Bank of Israel — official exchange rates for tax reports, requested by date only.

These requests go from your device to the provider, so the provider sees your device's IP address, as with any website you visit. Their own privacy policies apply to that traffic. Stocka never sends them your positions, quantities, costs or trade history.

Broker import (Interactive Brokers)

If you connect Interactive Brokers with a Flex Web Service token, the token is stored in your device's Keychain and sent only to Interactive Brokers to download your trades, positions and cash. That data comes straight to your device and is not passed to us or anyone else. You can disconnect at any time in the app, which removes the token.

Purchases

Stocka Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether your subscription is active; we never receive your payment details. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings.

Calendar and notifications

If you ask Stocka to add an earnings or ex-dividend date to your calendar, it asks for write-only access: it can add events but never reads your calendar. Alerts are delivered as notifications on your device, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.

Children

Stocka is not directed at children and is intended for adults managing their own investments.

Your choices

Because your data lives on your device and in your iCloud, you are in control of it. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; deleting the Stocka folder in iCloud Drive removes your sync file and backups. As we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side — but you are welcome to ask us about it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
